Yes, there were issues with Joe Biden's economy, but in comparison to what Trump is doing right now, it certainly was much better for most people than what is happening - and what seems on the brink of happening in Trump's economy. Cost of living was higher than people liked, but almost every other category (stocks, jobs, etc.) was doing just fine. People still were unhappy.

Now, we got Trump, who is basically destroying the economy and seemingly making some people take for granted what they had under Biden just a few months ago.

I don't think this is a wholesale thing, but will this cause voters to not be so reactionary in the future when they are just ~annoyed~ at the "economy"?

Everything that happened under the Trump administration will be forgotten by the voters within 20 minutes of his leaving office

While my portfolio would benefit from an American recession, this thread screams of "boy who cried wolf". At the end of the day, your voting public decided that it trusted Mr. Trump, knowing full well his governing economic philosophy.

I think it'll be enough to defeat his successor and give Democrats big wins in 2025, 2026, and 2028. However, the moment something doesn't go perfectly for the next Democratic President we'll be doing this dance all over again.

That's even assuming Trump leaves office and doesn't declare martial law. It's something I'm increasingly worried about...and I've been right, or even somehow underestimated, everything that's happened with the Trump 47 administration so far.
