Feel a big rift coming in MAGAworld between the techno-feudalist VCs and the RFK-types who are suspicious of food and medicine because they have been too corrupted by technology.

...I don't think transhumanism is a particularly big part of Yarvin's thought, which I've been critiquing on the forum for many years. I think he's said nice things about the charter city movement, but it's not really focal to his thinking.

It is foolish if you are one of those who think AI will kill us all; there are, in fact, two paths to the future. But if you assume human survival (...which is an enormous assumption! Humanity has given control of thousands of nukes to Donald J. Trump!), then it isn't foolish at all.

Mother Nature would harshly regulate any attempt to do this -- large populations of near-clones are always extremely vulnerable to infectious disease, which humanity is substantially protected from by our genetic diversity

Personally, I find this entire thing quite funny, but I do think the general issue of genome editing is going to be a big deal in the future, and I wouldn't be surprised, if not expect that there will be significant inequality and conflict surrounding it. I really dread the idea of what a century of near-exponential AI-assisted advancement in genetic engineering will deliver to the rich and powerful of human civilization.
