Elon Musk retweeted Ben Shapiro's call to action and petition for Donald Trump to pardon Derek Chauvin for murdering George Floyd.

Chauvin is serving prison time in a state prison, based on a sentence from a Minnesota court. Therefore, he would remain in prison if pardoned. This would basically just be Trump virtue signalling and causing mass civil rights protests.

Right wing pundits say silly things like this sometimes, but Trump's right hand man Elon Musk retweeted it. Deplorable.

Yep, and federal prisons are usually nicer than state prisons. Walz will never pardon him. So I don't see how this happens. If it does, it won't be because Chauvin wants it.

Yep, and federal prisons are usually nicer than state prisons. Walz will never pardon him. So I don't see how this happens. If it does, it won't be because Chauvin wants it.

Chauvin might even reject the pardon if it meant he would have to serve his sentence in Minnesota prison (since Walz obviously isn't going to pardon him), where he would either be at much higher risk of violence or death from other inmates, or have to serve his sentence in protective custody, which is basically solitary confinement.

Unluckily he’s so bad an author that no one really discovered it, because they had to suffer through his book to do so. Not to go full Godwin here, but the low quality of Mein Kampf was likely also a major reason why people sleepwalked into the Nazi regime.

Nationalism isn’t the same in different counties though. American nationalism unlike nationalism from different European countries has been a positive . AFD is bad particularly cause German nationalism in particular(which has roots in Prussian nationalism) has been used for evil in a way no other nationalism has . On the other hand American nationalism has been a force of good because our nationalism isn’t based on any ethnicity.

Ben Shapiro while clearly morally wrong here is also not a fascist . Ben Shapiro is one of the strongest advocates for reducing the power of government out there and has criticized Trump multiple times .
