If the Ukraine situation perpetuates to where there are American boots on the ground . . .

1.  Will you enlist in a branch of the military?

     a.  If you answer "No", why not?

     b.  If you answer "Yes", which branch, and why?

1. No.

      a. I’m too old. Also there won’t be a need for American troops on the ground. All I’m asking for is aiding a fellow democracy stand against a ruthless dictatorship.
      b. N/A

Question: Why do you support dictatorships over sovereign nations?

Fuzzy? No follow up?

We done here?

Stop trolling and derailing.

Why? You won't address the actual concerns of anyone who would enlist or accept a commission:

Why should anyone who supports Ukraine's defence & independence agree to fight for a government that is obviously aligned with Russia, and hostile to Ukraine?

Why would any honest and responsible individual put themselves in the position of carrying out the orders of fraud, rapist, felon and megalomaniac Donald Trump?

Enabling dictators in the name of isolationism and "America First" is not new.

honestly sure ill join the crowd here shooting down whatever hot take OP thought he was making

my answer relies on two assumptions:

1. these "American boots on the ground" are there to support the independence of Ukraine AGAINST Russian warmongering (this assumes a president who is sane and supportive of democracy)

2. the things that currently bar me from military service (health problems and etc, possibly also age tbh idk what the limit is there) somehow no longer apply or are otherwise no longer relevant

then yes I would serve wherever and however my ASVAB scores deemed most appropriate - presumably a clerical or skilled technical role

Are there any Democrats, on this site or in prominent political positions, who have ever advocated for putting Americans on the ground in Ukraine? Genuinely curious.

And for the record, yes, I think it's more likely I would than not. If we were actually fighting Russians on the ground, that would imply a full-scale conflict the likes of which have not been seen since WWII, and I would probably feel some duty to enlist. Though it's worth noting that right now, the more realistic scenario would be the US going to war against Ukraine on Russia's behalf.

This is derailing.  You're not manning up.

I very clearly answered the question.

Bold of you to assume he can read.

I'm also not a Democrat, so it's not like the thread even applied to me in the first place.

Then I wasn't asking you.  You crashed the party.

Ok, sure grandpa. Let’s get you to bed.

You asked a question and I answered it.

I asked you a question and the best you can say is “Stop trolling.”

Your question is off-topic, trolling, and everyone here knows it, whether they admit it or not.

It’s literally on topic just because you don’t have the guts to own the consequences of your positions doesn’t mean it’s off topic.

That's not the standard you, and many like you, have held me to in the past.

You, and many like you, haven't had the guts to own the consequences of criminal BLM and Antifa rioters.  That's just one example.  The idea that you are consistent is somewhere between dubious and laughable when it comes to this issue.
