My guess is that they would have outrun Harris, but not enough to clear 50%, and there would be a December runoff.

My guess for either scenario:

GOP Candidate: 49.7
Ossoff: 49

Runoff:
GOP candidate: 50.3
Ossoff: 49.7

Or…..

Warnock: 49.5
GOP Candidate: 49.3

Runoff
Warnock: 50.5
GOP Candidate: 49.5

It would be close either way, but I think that whether they'd win would come down to candidate quality.

Runoffs, and they would lose due to post-election Dem hopelessness.

Ossoff would have won by four, Warnock by 5.5. Republicans have a really low ceiling in Georgia and the swing state Senate results are not encouraging for the GOP.

I agree that it would have gone to a run-off. However, I think with the modern electoral coalitions, Democrats may actually be slightly favored in off-cycle elections such as run-offs.

I think Warnock could have won. Ossoff is 50/50.

Warnock wins immediately, Ossoff wins in a runoff.
