I'm pretty sure Dr. Onder is now the first St. Charles County resident to ever represent MO in the US House.

Interesting.

Most of the people elected to Congress from Arizona have been from Mohave County, Coconino County, Maricopa County, and Pima County.

Missouri has 7 times as many counties as Arizona. St. Charles County has more than 7 times the population that it had in 1960. St. Charles County had been the fastest growing county of Missouri, in population, for several decades, and it surpassed the population of the city of St. Louis in the 2000's. Back in the 1980's, St. Charles County had 5 state reps; now it has 11. It's influence has grown a great deal, but still it has not been the home of any winners of state executive offices.

Feels like Florida in that regard...used to be politically not a major player, but has grown rapidly in population and political clout and now has much more representation at the highest levels of government.

I have a gut feeling that the first one is going to be a black woman from the western half of the state.

Julie Fedorchak is the first woman elected to congress from North Dakota.

First to the house, that is, since the Senate already got Heitkamp.

She’ll probably be the next senator if Hoeven retires in 2028 and Burgum doesn’t want it.

I am most excited for Min, Tran, Bynum and McDonald Rivet. All four (there were 11 total) voted against the insane anti ICC act but for the Laken Riley Act.
