Tennessee
Texas
Utah
Vermont

all 7 battleground states increased their total raw votes compared to 2020.  Most big states had fewer raw votes. I’m quite surprised Tennessee had more raw votes this year and it was confirmed by their SoS that this year had higher turnout vs 2020. All other deep south states had fewer votes this year.

The increases were mostly from smaller states, thats why total votes cast this year is lesser than 2020.

TN is probably at least in part due to strong growth

Maine is somewhat surprising given it’s not growing very fast and in 2020 they had all the investment for the Senate race

Minnesota lost around 24,000 raw votes from 2020. And is no longer the state with the highest voter turnout this year, a distinction it has for cycles.

A lot of peeps have moved to Nashville(and Memphis to a lesser extent) for work and cheaper housing and a nicer climate.
