if Biden hadn't run for reelection in the first place Trump probably would have lost.
Well, there are many other circumstances involved in Trump's win.

sexism is definitely one of them. I've given up on the idea of a woman president. It's all but a dream.
What about a Republican woman who basically is a 21st century American Thatcher?
a women is not getting the Republicans nomination anytime soon.
You never know. Your statement might age like milk. I could picture this more easily than a Democratic one. Of course, a female VP replacing a deceased President is the most likely outcome.

I think thats the only way we get a woman president.

Holding the first debate before the conventions was a huge mistake on the GOP's part and blocked a truly historic result. If the public gets exposed to what Biden sounds like unscripted in September, the results would have been gruesome. I don't think we will ever see another debate get scheduled that early again, for the reason that if your opponent slips that hard you want to be able to fully capitalize on it.

I do not take your argument seriously.

The overall results of Election 2024:
• U.S. President: Republican—Pickup!
• U.S. Senate: Republican—Pickup!
• U.S. House: Republican—Hold!

Additional fact:
Every state experienced a general 2020-to-2024 general shift, in percentage-points margins, in direction for the Republicans (and Donald Trump).
None of these points contradict or even challenge OP's argument

They do.

You do/did not understand those points.

Walk me through it then. Explain to me how "Republicans won" is a retort to the claim that Republicans would have won by more if they made better decisions

Republicans helped make the election closer than it needed to be by nominating Trump.

Nikki Haley would've won in a landslide.

One day, Republicans will nominate a woman with an impressive resume and a long list of detailed policy proposals, while Dems will nominate a less qualified but likeable man who can “project strength.” And that man will probably win.

Then the Republicans will finally understand how misogyny affects our politics

Yeah, not sure what they mean.

It’s like comparing two scenarios where a team wins a game by 3 points and one by 10 points. They win both times, but in one scenario they make better decisions + opposing team makes worse decisions that gives them a bigger win.

I just think that if Biden hadn’t dropped and Republicans nominated a candidate who was younger, more energetic and didn’t have a record that could be so easily attacked, then they would have beaten Dems by a lot more in the presidential and congressional races. And then that president would also be able to run for another term and have a better chance at winning.

Democrats were set to face total annihilation with a white man atop the ticket. A black woman literally stopped that from happening.

I don’t think it’s a fantasy, but it seems like the candidate would need an incredibly favorable environment to withstand the headwinds presented by her gender.

Female candidates face impossible standards. They’re either seen as a diversity pick who isn’t qualified, or they’re too qualified and “overprepared.”

She didn't win because she was the vice president to a president whose approval rating barely cracked 40% and because she took crazy left-wing positions in her previous run.

hence why it won't happen anytime soon. If Clinton got the nomination in 2008 she would have probably won.
