@pagingdeluca @kanadiankamala on X recently dropped an effortpost about how Democratic activists can pressure electors in the sixteen Republican states without "faithless elector" laws to vote for Harris on the big day. As she has closed replies and is aggressively blocking her critics, however, I offer this thread as a safe place for you to discuss the merits - or lack thereof - of this strategy.

Quote
If Kamala alone managed to flip electoral votes in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Missouri, West Virginia, Arkansas, Louisiana, Idaho, Kentucky, and South Dakota, she would end up with 288 electoral votes.

Awesome!  This should be so easy.

I just tweeted as many of these electors as I could, asking if they could pretty please vote for Kamala Harris instead of Donald Trump because I think she should have won the election instead of him.  I told them that if they don't, they hate democracy.

I did my part!  Remember; "when we fight, we win!"

Probably easier to just march down to the capitol and fight like hell. PEACEFULLY.

It would be the responsible thing for them to do. Mr. Trump is, after all, unfit, incompetent, and ineligible for the office. (Not that I actually expect that to stop anyone.) The blowback would be immense, but the upside would be: a non-fascist President, and the swift end of the historically useless Electoral College.

I in no way expect this or anything like it to happen. Americanchose to abandon rule of law for rule by Christo-fascist billionaire kaikistrocrats, and that is what it is going to get.
