They are in a better position downballot than they were in 2017. There are only two possibilities - either Trump does a good job, in which case the Democrats will stay powerless, but it will be good for the country, or Trump fails, in which case the Democrats will return to power. So go and enjoy Thanksgiving.

I agree with the first part. Democrats have a future that looks better than in 2016, when Trump finally recedes from political relevance in 2028 or 2029 (assuming he doesn't try and stay in power).

I disagree with the second. Trump will be a disaster in his coming term, 100%, it's just a matter of how big of one.

The Democrats just need an identity closer to real workforce Americans.

They have bypassed reality and got all wrapped up in movements unrelated to an average working person.

I think this stuff really backfired in a bad economy. If we are all living in a $2M house on the water, then it might go down OK, but American's clearly didn't share the Democrats vision presented by Harris.

The reality is that incumbency fatigue will get the Democrats back in office in 2028 or 2032.
