I wonder if any pro-choice voters felt more comfortable voting for Trump and GOP because they felt the referendums would take care of the abortion issue. Not to mention mobilizing low propensity voters that would see it as a last chance to ban abortion. I'm not saying it was a mistake to put it on the ballot, people should do what they believe is best for their state, but politically perhaps it neutralized Democrats' best issue. I just don't see it getting many people to the polls that weren't already going ergo Missouri Dems trying to stem cell research to get people to the polls in 2006.  Meanwhile some suburban Republican-leaning Biden voters can vote for Trump or "come home" because the referendum is going to take care of that issue, not Kamala Harris.

It definitely helped Trump. Florida and New York moved 10 and 11 points to Trump respectively. Among swing states, AZ and NV moved the most to Trump. All of those had abortion referendums.

Correlation is not causation. There are clearly many pro-choice Trump voters, and that was always evident when the referendums passed in safe Republican states.
