I hear some saying that Hertel was a bad candidate. Why was this? Was there a scandal or something? If he lost because of the R-wave, he would probably win in 2026.

I hear his name being bounced around to replace Lavora Barnes as Michigan Democratic Party chair.

I think the DCCC might be trying to convince Barb Byrum to run, although I could also see her running for Secretary of State.

I think part of it is he has the charisma of a walnut.
