Josh Kraushaar singled out Ossoff's vote and talked about Georgia's jewish community and Kapo was the nicest thing he got called there. Lots of people are starting to pledge donations to Kemp, AIPAC definitely noticed the vote. I get why Ossoff did it, he clearly wants to run for president in 2028 and tried to pull a move to be the anti war candidate like Obama. But he might not even last past 2026 after doing that.

I don't think this dooms him by any means, but it's a position well outside of the American norm, and anyone who doesn't remember Bernie falling apart over saying something nice about Castro once is kind of kidding themselves.

(It's also not new -- I remember Ossoff getting attacked over his ties to J Street in the 2017 special! And, in hindsight, given the environment at the time, that was actually a fairly anomalous loss: it was R+4 in a Trump+1 seat. The whites that voted for him were Romney voters. I highly doubt they’re committed progressives. Anti-Israel underperforms basically everywhere outside of deep blue minority districts. NeverTrump Southern college whites are definitely not pro-Palestine.
