There are 4 battleground states that Trump won but voted for the DEM senate candidate. Which among the 4 was the most winnable for the republicans if there was a different candidate or more investment and campaigning done by the GOP?

A more normal Republican could have won AZ in this environment. Easily.

With the same candidate? Rogers in MI, obviously.
With the potential for different candidates? AZ, just as obviously.

I assumed OP meant the former and voted accordingly.

Nevada or Michigan.

Went with Nevada, given just how well Trump did.

AZ because if any other GOPer had run they'd have won easily.

I'm not sure how to answer this. Obviously, AZ is a state where Trump did the best and Lake did the worst of all those candidates. Hard to believe in this day and age...

If I had to pick the most winnable from the standpoint of the mentality at the start of the year and not knowing who the candidates would be, I'd pick a toss up between Arizona, Nevada or Wisconsin.

Gallego turned out to be a pretty good choice for the Democrats in Arizona. I hear they're already talking him up as a potential presidential candidate. From the standpoint of the quality of the Democratic candidate, I might pick Michigan.

AZ easily. Even Blake Masters would have won it.

Masters would have done worse than Lake.

Kari Lake is basically Brittany Aldean doing an imitation of Trump.

Arizona by miles. Trump won by 5.5, in this era of partisanship it’s crazy how badly Lake did considering that.

Gallego wasn’t even particularly strong (all of the other Dems in these states were better candidates), Lake is just truly that bad. It is really funny how much the Arizona GOP has bungled winnable races in the last ~6 years or so.

There is an observation that all GOP Senate candidates and a lot of GOP House candidates and members did worse than the Presidential ticket, a first since the 1980's.

But I'll have to go for Nevada as the biggest House GOP failure and Arizona as the biggest Senate failure.

Lake should have ran for a House seat first before running for a state wide office again, like John James in Michigan, to build credibility and a local powerbase.

A striking statistic like that really screams out that Kamala Harris blew it, but it's hard to find other evidence to confirm she was unusually weak.
