Trump will preside over the 250th anniversary of American independence, which is sure to be an enormous celebration and display of American strength and patriotism. Could this give him a boost that helps Republicans in the Midterms?

I suppose that's a good point, but it's not as big as an actual centennial and he could bungle it.

Who f***ing cares?

Okay, for real, Ford presiding over the bicentennial gave him a boost in 1976, but I don't think something as superficial as this would do the same for Trump given how polarizing he is and how cynical our times are.

At least it better f***ing not!
