So it’s clear Gaetz quit the seat he was elected to in 2022, but was his resignation also specific to the 2024 election? The seat he hasn’t been sworn in for yet? For example, if Trump withdraws his nomination for AG before Jan 3, can he be sworn in for that?

So Gaetz is talking scheduling a special so I guess he resigned both. Just seems odd since he hasn’t actually taken the seat for the new term yet.

He did it to keep a damaging ethics report about him from being published

I get that. I’m questioning if there’s still a window for him to take the seat he just won.
