MN-08's drift to the right is quite something...one point loss, in a seat that was Dem for many decades bar one term, until 2018.
MN-07 is practically a mirror of the state's results.
MN-06 being a seven point loss shows how generally her numbers have gone down in mini metros and not just blood red rural counties...
MN-01 being 1.5 or so in her corner is to be expected given everything else.
MN-02 is practically identical to the state as a whole.
MN-03 being where it is is perhaps a sign of the shift in these places.
MN-04...well, Klob gets 7% more in MN-03 than statewide, she in turn gets 7% more in MN-04 than MN-03...to be expected?
MN-05 going 82% Klob says it all about the seat.

Honestly this results is depressing as hell. How TF can a candidate as insane as Royce White get over 40% of the vote? The fact that White came closer than any of her past opponents shows how partisan things have become. For 40% of the electorate the fact that White had an R after his name was more important than that he is unqualified, vile, misogynistic and clearly mentally unwell. I'm not sure a lot of people are grasping just how bad a guy White is.

FWIW in 2012 Klobuchar not only won all CD's she won all 134 State House districts and all but 2 of 87 counties and that was against a sane opponent.

I knew that joker White was going to overperform all of Klobuchar's past opponents even though he was likely the weakest of the lot simply because of modern-day presidential-level polarization.

Like how I surmised that empty-suit opportunist Bernie Moreno was probably going to unseat Sherrod Brown this year - nothing more than him having Trump's endorsement and Trump being on the ticket.

Kurt Bills was actually one of those Ron Paul weirdos who wanted to reinstate the gold standard....but yeah he actually was relatively sane in comparison to White or modern day Trump Republicans.

There's been a shift, but it's important not to gild the lily. Nolan's majorities in MN-8 were 8.9pts, 1.4pts and 0.6pts. He was not a strong candidate or incumbent (to put it mildly) and neither 2014 nor 2016 were fantastic years, but that's not the point.

Perhaps you could liken it to a pail that slowly filled with water until it fell over.

Klobuchar didn't run any negative ads against White so for most voters he was just a generic GOP name on the ballot. That was her choice but I'm sure if she went scorched Earth like Dems did against Robinson in NC she would've put up a more dominating performance. She is not running for President ever again most likely and has nothing to prove anymore.
