Bernie goes full scorched earth on the establishment Democrats. What do we think he's planning? Perhaps it's a fantasy, but I wouldn't mind some type of organization or new party that can run in areas where the word "Democrat" is completely toxic. Look at Dan Osborn.
Quote
It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they're right.

....

Will the big money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic Party learn any real lessons from this disastrous campaign? Will they understand the pain and political alienation that tens of millions of Americans are experiencing? Do they have any ideas as to how we can take on the increasingly powerful Oligarchy which has so much economic and political power? Probably not.

In the coming weeks and months those of us concerned about grassroots democracy and economic justice need to have some very serious political discussions.

Stay tuned.

I would like to see new people congress and would like the Democrats to be more vocal about promoting social welfare.

I still blame Manchin and Sinema for a lot of the Biden agenda shortcomings. At least we're rid of them.

I think this isn’t helpful. The party hasn't abandoned the working class. In many ways they’re the only party actually fighting for them.

They have forgotten how to talk the working class. They are not meeting working class people where they are on so-called common-sense social issues… but they have not abandoned them.

They never needed to remove the fillibuster to pass their agenda. This was always a Democrats obstacle because they wanted major tickect items and reforms. Republican can do all the need with reconciliation, the courts, or scarring yall Democrats into joining them. Like immigration reform. Everything else is to unpopular to pass at a federal level.

If only Democrats had listened to him in 2016, none of this would have ever happened.

Cause one of the reason why the Democratic coalition started falling apart was shying away from promoting social welfare. They allowed Republicans to chip away at that coalition because they shied away from it in order to pursue moderate surbubanites. While its true Republican wont do anything for these voters they did feel that need with otherism.

Biden was the best democrat on policy since LBJ. Unfortunately the left is very dumb and has been taken over by KDP style death cult thinking. It will take a long time for them to realize what they have thrown away.

I think Bernie is being strategic here. He needed to get out in front of the narrative because a lot of stuff is coming. Some will try to throw vulnerable people under the bus. Some will also argue the dems need to be MORE centrist. There will be a lot of that.
