I cannot believe that old guy we saw at the Presidential debate struggling to put a sentence together just authorised long range missile strikes in Russian territory.

2021 was GOOD (Pro Labor legislation, getting us out of COVID, climate stuff, infrastructure, and ending Afghanistan).

2022 and on was BIG SUCK: mass immigration, crime wave, ukraine/israel conflicts, failed on rail strike, and inflation.

Overall a D+. Bush was much worse/an F tho.

Likely none, but it depends a lot on what Trump/Vance do and 2028.

Decades from now - he will go down as a forgotten president, like Millard Fillmore, James Garfield, and John Tyler.

Near future, he will be remembered as the one who may have cost his party an election (or at least didn't give them a fair chance) by deciding to seek a 2nd term

When Trump won the election in 2024,  the message is that, after witnessing the presidencies of Trump and Biden, Americans believed that Trump was a better president than Biden. Biden will always go down as a bad president as a result

If Trump has a horrendous 2nd term, Biden would be looked more fondly back as Americans start to regret their choice. Still sadly he would probably rank at best in the mid tier of presidents but unless Trump has a good 2nd term he will definitely rank lower than Biden.

Mixed.

I think he'll be viewed more favorably as time goes by, but it'll be negative for a while. Kind of a Truman thing.

He'll be remembered fondly in the South.

He should have made clear to Garland that he wanted Trump prosecuted.  And if Garland dragged his heels he should have fired him and been like Lincoln with the Army of the Potomac--not stopped until he found the right person to do the job.

she didn’t win and really didn’t even come close to winning.

If Harris had won Michigan and Pennsylvania, which she lost by well under 2 percentage points each, and Wisconsin, which she lost by less than 1 percent, she would have won the election.  By historical standards, that's definitely coming close to winning.

He will be seen as James Buchanan tier, after his positive accomplishments get destroyed. The man who led his party and his country to destruction under a far right regime as he watched it coming like a deer in headlights.

Better as time goes by. He was like Carter in that bad luck and timing were against him.  Chose very poorly for AG,should have picked Doug Jones. Probably shouldn't have picked Harris for VP either. I admire and really like the man though, the first president I have really liked on a personal level. or felt that REALLY cared about regular people.

Failed President, no matter what angle you look at it. If you’re on the right, you hate his extremely progressive record, and think it was disastrous. If you’re on the center you hate that he didn’t restore normality and was weak. If you’re on the left you hate that his term led to the return of an emboldened Donald Trump.

He is far far worse than Carter. Carter did a lot of great stuff on deregulation, and he didn’t cause the inflation- he appointed Volker who fixed it. Biden caused the inflation with his “I’m the next FDR” stimulus, student loan forgiveness, making everything more expensive with stringent regulations, antitrust policy that explicitly rejected aiming for low prices. His only legacy will be some green tax credits that Republicans will either repeal or pare back. Other than GWB, he’s the worst president we’ve had in quite a while.
