He was supposed to end the Trump era and failed miserably. He was embarrassed by Netanyahu for a year and gained nothing. He appointed the worst AG in modern history and it cost us a democracy. Enjoy your legacy as a bottom ten president you POS.

The American Hindenberg.

It's not as much in the toilet as it would have been if he stayed on the ticket, but he is our Von Hindenburg, and history will look back on him as a Nero-like figure.

Hey now. He can still salvage his presidency by pardoning Hunter.

F*** it! He might as well. He needs to test what he can get away with over these next three months. Why not at this point? Nothing matters.

Did more damage to this country with this election result than the amount of good he did by winning in 2020. He needs to disappear and spend his remaining time with his loved ones because I never want to see or hear from him again.

0% his fault. Lol

He had an objectively successful term and people thought he was too old. Fine. Then Harris steps in and people just yesterday are hailing Biden as a hero. Nothing changed today except people’s votes. Blame them.

I never hailed him as a hero. I was called a doomer for a year because I knew he sucked. He and Merrick played nice even after 1/6

What I've been saying all along. He should have run a presidency laser focused on domestic bread and butter issues. Then he should have stepped aside in late 2022 so the Democrats could've had a primary. The '22 midterms were a curse in disguise bc before then, Dems were starting to panic about Biden but the election quieted them down.

Joe Biden is in bed sleeping right now, but I would love to know his candid reaction when he first hears his protégé (lol) lost the election.

He did though. That was what was so fascinating about the 2020 election. In theory, Biden's whole thing about building back better, and him focusing on industrialism and all of that, in another world, would have been so popular.

It was his age.

That's a generous comparison. Biden's far worse

All I can say is that if I were in his position, I would publicly commit seppuku on the White House Lawn. That's the only way I would feel I could possibly restore any honor after this unmitigated disaster.

This generation's Jimmy Carter, but senile. Good riddance.

He could have been seen as a great president, but it’s very clear that he is going to be considered a D-List president, especially after this result.

The stimulus may have prevented a deep recession, but the inflation it caused doomed this presidency.

That and being 95 years old.

In any case we're never seeing a large stimulus in this country again. No politician will be stupid enough to sign their death warrant at this point.

Worse than Carter. In fact, this election bears a few similarities to 1980: a resounding defeat for the incumbent administration and loss of liberal Democratic "populist" senators. The country will continue to lurch rightwards as Democrats find themselves in the dark.

It's difficult to predict how Democrats will rebrand themselves, but until then the future is Republican and the realignment is essentially complete.

How exactly is any of this his fault?

Even if you think he was a bad and old candidate, you people literally made a huge movement to elect him in 2020 democratic primaries. So wouldn’t it be more of democrat voters fault instead of Biden?

Biden was a better president than expected but suffered from having no real base of support. His own election wasn’t as much because people loved him but more that they hated Trump.

If you recall, in late winter Ezra Klein authored an article about Biden's decline.  His handlers knew the truth but continued to offer Biden as a viable candidate

It shows what happens when you go with the most "electable" candidate.
