Its interesting to note from this interactive graphic provided by USA Today that besides Massachusetts and North Carolina, which hold places of honor at the front of the convention floor, all the other states delegations that have "Floor" seating are all from Battleground states. All other states not on the floor are either "safe" Kerry states or "safe" Bush states. (The only exception is South Dakota, i'm sure Daschel's pull had something to do with that!). Maybe an insight into Kerry stategy in terms of order of importance to his campaign?Huh

The signs are very difficult to make out on TV, not a good contrast or font.  The only two signs easy to read are from the side stage camera view.  
I agree, the states names don't stand out except from the side view....disappointing. Thanks for posting the map....really makes my point on the Battleground status states.
