I could imagine Appalachia swinging towards Trump even on a bad night for him.

at least they're prepared with a color and everything in case a third party candidate won a county

and they fixed it, Trump is at 72% there.. down from 76% in 2020

My internet is being uncharacteristically spotty - hasn't happened since the early days of the pandemic

Are these early Indiana results really all mail EV? (specially all those 50+% results counties)

apparently some, like Hamilton, have some ED
Encouraging, since Hamilton is one of the largest improvements from 2020.

Trump is honestly cooked if rural KY/IN are not swinging towards him at least a bit

Looks like NYT supposedly has the same votes out in Hamilton but has a higher % reporting than CNN. CNN has 58% reporting in Hamilton County.

Thinking about this method of vote reporting in KY and IN and realize this is literally like maximized torture for election nerds

If you have a touchscreen try turning it off in device manager. I used to have this problem but that fixed it for me.

Georgia: "who do you trust more to handle a crisis?"

Trump 51 / Harris 47

Biden approval: 41 approve, 58 disapprove

Both incredibly and understandably, people seem to have forgotten COVID and Trump's handling of it.
Many of Trump's voters do remember covid, and they remember that unlike many Dem governors (looking at you Newsom) he didn't impose never ending lockdowns.

Oh yeah no you're right. I actually think Trump made 2 strategic masterstrokes. The 1000 bucks and presenting himself as the anti-Fauci .

But he's still a terrible crisis actor
Both of those were master moves, yeah...

Those red state rural Appalachian counties will at some point probably end up being as Republican as inner cities are Dem. Never be shocked when they swing right.

I don't think the voters he's looking for are listening to the radio

Morgan County IN, SW of Indy, Trump 74/25 (17.2k to 5.7k)

Trump won it 76/22 in 2020 (27.5k to 7.7k)

The 3 counties over 60% in KY are all swinging to Trump.

Taylor +51 to +56
Rowan +21 to +23
Casey +73 to +75

If Harris does win Hamilton County, she might be on track to win.

Well, it's been fun looking at random rural counties in Indiana and Kentucky for the last hour but now it's time for several other states to close

Also if the EC/PV split is gone, it's very possible we see places in IN, KY get redder while something different happens in the swing states.

Kenton KY (Covington/exurban Cinci) is only 43% in but it's margin is identical to 2020 at ~+18

I'm having a lot of issues with the NYT site tonight. They should have given their tech workers the "just cause" clause they asked for — a clause that other workers at NY Times already have.
