The Putin/Zelensky thing is dumb but it's his own fault at this point. Just drop out, Joe.

Don't focus on who he called what at NATO. Stay with the big picture.

They and the press want him gone. Everything he say that isn't perfect will get nitpicked to death by both sides now. No one could withstand that level of scrutiny.

I want Biden to stay in. Democrats should want him gone. However the way they are doing this is just so undisciplined and messy, they are humiliating the President because he isn't polling well. George Clooney has a veto over who can be POTUS.

They are basically saying every GOP attack line since the Inauguration was right!

Were they wrong? All the media did was cover for him whenever he made a mistake or they deflected with "Trump did XYZ". FFS, just weeks ago they tried to sell the public on "Cheapfakes" in order to cover for Biden. Now to defend the media, some were probably told about a different Biden(a non-mentally declining one) and believed the WH/staff. Others weren't and were doing it on purpose because they like him personally (at least better than Trump) and or have friends in the admin. He simply lived out his usefulness for them.

By itself it wouldn't be a big deal, but you have to view the "President Putin" mix-up as it exists in the context of all in which it lives and what came before it.

The Putin-Zelenskyy wouldn't be bad on its own but in this case it's impossible to separate it from the larger context (hah). This isn't the only time he's ever done this.

Anticipating some kind of verbal miscue is all anybody can think of when the man appears in public and opens his mouth. His campaign will never be able to escape it. It's part of why any public appearance he makes will have only a tiny fraction of the efficacy in communicating any kind of message or attacking his opponents compared to any other candidate.

Did he repeatedly call him Putin? If not, it shouldn't be a be a big deal but you know... unfortunate circumstances (for him).

No, he misspoke and quickly corrected himself with a little bit of humor and grace.

Can we all agree, doctors who diagnose people they've never met, on TV news should have their licenses pulled?

Yeah, I would chalk it up as a usual Biden gaffe, but it's probably the worst-timed one ever.

Leave President Biden alone.

Am I an idiot or is the White House feed still blank 9 minutes past the scheduled start time?

They're waking Biden/changing the diapers.

JK, obviously, but getting an elderly confused man ready takes time.

Who hasn’t been late for a presentation or meeting before? President Biden has been working hard for the American people for the past 15 minutes.

Yall are convincing me that Harris is the one to carry the torch

She isn't the best candidate to be a sure winner, like I think a Beshear or Whitmer would be.

But she is a fresh enough face, an energetic and enthusiastic enough campaigner who can maybe message better on the Biden administration's positives/Trump's negatives, relate better to the crucial female and person if color vote, have institutional support like the CBC, and access to what has already been established from the Biden campaign, offer some excitement as the first woman and woman of color of two different races to win the role, and negate the prevailing age critcisms of Biden. Hell, she can flip it onto Trump, and maybe he'll finally be seen as the old deranged man he is. Just give her Andy Beshear or Roy Cooper as a running mate.

I think it'll be worth it, especially if she ends up debating Trump. That would probably be the moment, if she is nominated, where she pulls ahead. Kind of ironically, the Democratic campaign could have died by a debate but then been resurrected by another. We'll see.

The main draws I see Harris having are that she might bring in the youth vote more, she will obviously bring more non-white voters in...

But I do think that the entire Biden/Harris "brand" if you will is irreparably damaged, in large measure due to Biden and the media covering up for him the past year or so and the constant gaslighting over it, along with the existing issues people have with the economy.

Had Biden dropped out either say in Feb/March, or not run for re-election at all, I say 60/40 Harris would win.

The only thing that would be more devastating for Biden than losing the support of the unions would be losing Obama.

Biden needs to stand down! Even if he by some miracle wins in November the 25th Amendment will be invoked during his 2nd Term by his Cabinet.

35 minutes late at this point…

Running this late for a press conference isn’t necessarily abnormal, but being on time for this specific press conference is extremely important lmao, how are they not ready?

Wouldn’t have made news absent the fallout of the last couple weeks. But he can’t afford it right now.
