Maybe if Arthur Bremer waits until after the 1973 Inauguration, so he can practice his aim…

I would trust a Wallace ticket with Chisholm on it. Who would I be to question her judgement?

A Horrible Ticket.

Chisholm's supporters would not understand or approve of the idea and neither would Wallace's supporters approve of the ticket.

George Wallace may have voted for McGovern in 1972 but he refused to say if he did.  He told McGovern that he wished him the best but if he endorsed McGovern, his people would not understand or agree with that and McGovern's people would not understand or agree with McGovern seeking Wallace's endorsement.  It's something that wouldn't work.

Shirley Chisholm visited Wallace in the hospital after he was shot in 1972.  Wallace was legitimately touched by the visit.  I would not wish an assassination attempt on anyone, but Wallace really did become much more humble after being shot.  His latter career was far more constructive than his early career, which was quite destructive.
