A shame that this Bradford seat could’ve easily gone to a Muslim independent if there wasn’t more than one running and dividing the vote.

The success of Muslim Independents this election should make them consider being more organized and creating a party for them in the UK for even improved results. They could have gotten close to 10 seats and become a larger partisan force than Reform in UK politics, drastically shifting the center of discussions you usually see in a very racist UK.

Hopefully the 3 that were elected form this alliance or party for future elections. This could be the beginning of something really great.

A shame that this Bradford seat could’ve easily gone to a Muslim independent if there wasn’t more than one running and dividing the vote.

The success of Muslim Independents this election should make them consider being more organized and creating a party for them in the UK for even improved results. They could have gotten close to 10 seats and become a larger partisan force than Reform in UK politics, drastically shifting the center of discussions you usually see in a very racist UK.

Hopefully the 3 that were elected form this alliance or party for future elections. This could be the beginning of something really great.

If it could thread the needle and advance immigrant and minority interests without devolving into overt sectarian politics, yeah. I doubt it could based on the UK's past experiences with these kinds of parties, which is a shame.

When the Tories and Reform inevitably merge and go full populist, some portion will be unsatisfied and disperse itself to either New New Labour or the Lib Dems. That's a far more reasonable consistuency for Starmer's Labour to court than angry diaspora groups.

There are only five Central Belt seats left to declare - Glasgow North, Edinburgh East and the three West Fife seats. Unless Alison Thewliss (a solid constituency MP) or Tommy Shepard work a miracle, we could be looking at the SNP locked out of that region entirely.

When the Tories and Reform inevitably merge and go full populist, some portion will be unsatisfied and disperse itself to either New New Labour or the Lib Dems. That's a far more reasonable consistuency for Starmer's Labour to court than angry diaspora groups.

I'm not referring solely to the ~Gaza Independents~ here. You're also seeing gains for the Greens and for Lib Dems running on a platform in the old radical tradition rather than Orange Bookism.
