This Starmer speech is dogs***. Someone get this man a US style speechwriter.

He should have plagiarized Kinnock, that's a tried and true strategy

Would anyone have looked at him and believed it though? Woulda been better than his current speech.

I guess Sunak didn't get the memo that only losing around 190 seats is actually a great result

Surely the Tories can’t pick up HALF of the remaining 150 undeclared seats? Seems a heavy lift, even if the later results favor them.

Central belt all red. Borders and Aberdeenshire, finish the job and stay blue.

Props to Starmer for not repeating the "my father was a toolmaker my mother was a nurse" line, but joking about it.

Unless I'm missing something, I don't think the Tories get past 100.

I think it was 2005 where the count went to like 250 Labour before there were serious Tory numbers. The rurals are slower cause you have to centralize the boxes over a wider territory, and the lack of commuter tory seats mean there total has stayed low early.

I understand why people are celebrating the Gaza independent winning, but Leichester South is 30% Muslim... and the Gaza independent won about that much. I understand why third worldists like Red Velvet are on board but sure why should the rest of us should be happy about sectarian voting.

Perhaps some of us like to see people in parliament who will stand up for a population that is being decimated right now, largely with the support of the UK-US coalition.

They won't stand up for Ukrainians, for LGBT people, for Jewish people, for Black people though.

That's painting with a fairly broad brush.

Thanks — I followed 2019 somewhat but not this closely, so I’m new to the scene!

They already have 72? …. Zero chance they don’t cross 100.

Zero chance like actual zero. Not Georgia Zero

Not great that there are going to be fifth-column supporters of a genocidal terrorist organization, who have expressly stated their desire to wipe out all Jews, in Commons.

Lib Dems win Brecon with just 29.5%.
Unless David Davies can pull off a miracle, there will be no Conservative MP elected from Wales in this parliament.

Not great that there are going to be fifth-column supporters of a genocidal terrorist group in Commons.

There were about the same number of Nazis elected to the 1928 Reichstag.

I agree completely, we need to do something about the CFI supporting the cold blooded murderers of British citizens
