Jeez, didn't expect people to be this happy about Mogg. I can't imagine what Truss'll be like.

I doubt it. I briefly read some of their campaign platforms and they have some divides.

I understand why people are celebrating the Gaza independent winning, but Leichester South is 30% Muslim... and the Gaza independent won about that much. I understand why third worldists like Red Velvet are on board but sure why should the rest of us should be happy about sectarian voting.

Perhaps some of us like to see people in parliament who will stand up for a population that is being decimated right now, largely with the support of the UK-US coalition.

Labour gain Na h-Eileanan an Iar with 49.5% of the vote.

20% swing to them. Consolation prize for the SNP is that they beat Angus MacNeil - getting twice his vote share.

Lib-Dems hold their by-election flip in North Shropeshire. On paper bad territory for them, massive swing though.

Greens gain Hertfordshire North!

There are only five Central Belt seats left to declare - Glasgow North, Edinburgh East and the three West Fife seats. Unless Alison Thewliss (a solid constituency MP) or Tommy Shepard work a miracle, we could be looking at the SNP locked out of that region entirely.

Thewliss and Shepard both gone.

Labour lost 2 more seats to Gaza independents?

Yes, all the 4 Labour seat losses that happened today were because of Gaza Independents.

3 seats that went Labour —> Gaza Independent and the 1 seat in Leicester where the Gaza independents divided the leftist vote kinda like Reform is doing with the right nationally and made the seat actually go Labour —> Conservative

Leicester East was funny because it’s the opposite of the national trend with Reform presence benefiting Labour and Lib Dem massive gains. There in Leicester the Gaza Independent made a Conservative Win lmao

There was also a 4th Independent elected but it was a Hold (Corbyn) but one that would’ve been a Labour seat. Funny that Leftists were the ones pulling the defeats for Labour, they have 4 seats as independents - which is actually the same that Reform got so far even if they had 15% of the entire national vote.

Ah - so it’s down to Fife to finish the job - just as they did in 2014, when we delivered the final votes to get “No” over the line. Man, I love this scenic, mad peninsula.

And we would have been spared the whole lot if Starmer did the right thing from the start.

BLACKBURN GAZA INDEPENDENT GAIN

Independent Adnan Hussain 27.0% (+27.0)
Labour 26.7% (−39.3)
Workers Party 18.3% (+18.3)
Reform 12.5% (+6.5)
Conservative 8.9% (−14.4)
Green 3.6% (+2.0)
Liberal Democrat 1.8% (−0.7)
Other 1.2% (+1.2)

The constituency is 40% Muslim! I love sectarian voting!

First off, the GI and WPB combined won 45%, so clearly some non-Muslims have a problem with genocide too

and besides that, Starmer only lost Muslim votes because he chose to prioritize the sectarian interests of a different group instead. Now he knows that he'll pay a price politically if he stays the course.

Leicester South is a pro-Gaza independent but Leicester East is overwhelmingly Hindu and rejected Labour due to local issues, Kashmir policy, and BJP influence.
