Stuff like this is why academia and "science" have lost so much credibility in recent years.

Scream and lash out at the facts all you want.

The evidence is laid bare: American "guns for everyone" has failed on every level.

It's a "fact" that gun violence is a public health emergency?
Are you disputing the premise that the number of gun-related deaths are increasing or the premise  that getting shot is harmful to one’s health?

I'm disputing the premise that doctors and other medical professionals have inherent credibility when discussing political issues.  To boil gun rights down to a "public health" issue is totalizing and reductionist.

As long as gunshot victims wind up in hospitals and are treated by physicians, physicians have a right to speak out on gun issues. 

I am disputing the premise that politicians and gun owners have inherent credibility when discussing medical issues.
