Cotton is a fine choice, and probably better than Vance, and any of the clowns on the supposed short list.

VP isn't a prestigious position. Why is choosing an uncharismatic VP a liability? I can't remember the last time a VP actually brought something to the table. I mean, Obama chose Biden.
I feel like when both the nominees are as old as they are (sure Trump is younger but he's not exactly a spring chicken) there's a very considerable chance that the VP elected this time around will become president by the end of the term.

these "sources" are probably Cotton's PR team

Still waiting for Trump to turn on Israel like you promised he would lmao

Between this and Trump complimenting the hell out of Nikki Haley I don't know how you're coping. You're in a cult.
"Complimenting the hell"Huh
He said she might "join our team" which clearly is referring to her potentially being a campaign surrogate, which is a good thing. I haven't seen him praise her lmao.
You're just delusional and think the GOP will return to 2004

Tom Cotton would get skewered on abortion. Stefanik is the best path forward. She was once more moderate and she isn't gaffe prone. While she also isn't great on abortion, very few Republicans are and being a woman would shield her.

Tudor Dixon, Carolyn Carluccio and many others would like a word.

Cotton is a racist, afaik. The only choice that gives him a fighting chance is Scott. He'd be a fool (but then again, he is) not to pick him.

Speaking of Nikki Haley, Trump is blowing her wet kisses.

I don't know why you all are so negative about this potential pick. If Trump is guaranteed to win then why would it matter who he picks for VP?

Given the candidates ages, I'd argue the VP pick of both has never been more important. Biden is 82 with a history of brain bleeds, Trump is 78 and obese and eats terribly. Hate to be doom n' gloom but there's a chance one of their VPs becomes President before 2029.

As a neoconservative on foreign policy, this is great news. But I highly doubt he's chosen.

So your biggest issue with Trump wasn't the hatred of democracy or the ghoulish tax cuts for the rich, it was that he wasn't violent enough towards other countries? Noted.

He'll string her along for that position like he did Romney, then pick someone else.

Pretty sure that is what Haley thinks too.  It will be either VP nominee Haley or nothing.

Outside of shoring up the "Never Trump" vote, what would VP Haley do for Trump?

For example, I feel Scott could broaden his gains with Black Americans and other non-white groups; to me Scott would be a good pick on those grounds alone.

Outside of shoring up people who might've ultimately voted for Trump anyway, what does Haley offer?

To put it simply, she would bring credibility to the ticket and allow voters who are concerned about Biden, but feel that Trump is too much, to vote for the Republican ticket.  We are talking about 20-25% of the GOP electorate.  Trump needs those votes to have any chance of winning.
