Nargund.

(I didn't list the other parties' candidates because I don't know who they are and don't care to look them up because they don't matter anyway.)

If I lived in Islington North, then I'd vote for Jeremy Corbyn but I urge people not to idolize him, he's not the brightest guy in the world.

Worth noting that this won't have any effect on who forms the government, just as independent Sanders vs. an official Democratic candidate wouldn't have any effect on who controls the U.S. Senate. Actually, a better comparison is probably independent AOC or Ilan Omar against an official Democratic candidate, or maybe those times when Pelosi was challenged by Cindy Sheehan.

If we're going to compare this to US politics, I think Corbyn would have easily won a US style primary.

Corbyn. I strongly disagree with him on most foreign policy, but he's good at being an effective constituency MP and raising awareness of issues that otherwise get ignored. Shouldn't be in any position of major power thanks to his flaws, but as a backbencher it's definitely preferable to have Corbyn rather than some random Labour MP.

excluding the green candidate from this list is literally george orwells 1984

i would have voted green in every previous election but would probably tactically vote for corbyn this time around. maybe not tho, i expect him to win relatively easily so idk,,, if he were a real patriot he would join or form a real political organization on the left instead of going it solo as an independent...

him not joining Galloway's WPGB is probably the biggest counter to people calling him stupid.

Honestly if i was corbyn I would revive the old "Independent Labour" label.

‘Independent [Party Name]’ labels have been banned on ballots since the Registration of Political Parties Act 1998, which was introduced in response to a spate of candidates running under descriptions like ‘Literal Democrat’. I suppose Corbyn could register a party under a similar name, though again, the Electoral Commission could refuse it if they deem it plausible that it could mislead voters into thinking he’s the official Labour candidate.

that's a shame. What we need is the French practice of "Misc Left/Misc Right" candidates to ensure at least a few renegades survive.
