I know Johnson ruled out running for any other office in 2016 and was basically dragged into the Senate race, but let's assume he didn't make that pledge and decided to go back to his old job. Given the fluid nature of local elections to federal ones and that this hypothetical scenario has him campaigning from the start, I think the results could be way better than his real life Senate ones (though I don't think he'll win). I overall think he'd likely get 25-30% and maybe hit second place.
