22% of Republicans? They probably just don't care, or perhaps are those Haley protest voters.

Hopefully those people who do think he is guilty vote like it.

A caveat here is that there's a difference between believing he's guilty (which I would interpret as being reasonably confident) and being convinced beyond a reasonable doubt.

That's kind of splitting hairs, no? I understand tempering expectations and imagining the scenario we get not being as rosy as it should seem, but I also don't think Americans (the non-brainwashed ones) will think about it too much beyond guilty = criminal.

The jury will though, because the difference is going to be drilled into their heads in jury instructions and Closing Arguments. So what I mean is, most Americans believing he is guilty might mean the jury probably also believes he's guilty, but on its own that doesn't make it likely they will convict.

There is also a difference between believing he's guilty and caring that he is. A good deal of people know he's guilty. I know he's guilty. You do. I also think most Republicans on this site know he's guilty, but I doubt they care. There's a difference between knowing and caring.

You're right about that. I've been saying this very same thing.

Granted, the cult will never care. It's up to the rest of the country to instead, which is still probably too big of an ask.
