Which years will Italy and Poland most likely legalize same-sex marriage by?

I'm hoping Italy by the end of the decade, 2030.

Poland, I'm hoping by 2035, more likely 2040. Interestingly, Russia's worsening crackdown on LGBTQ rights has actually raised its popularity in countries strongly opposed to Putin (and skeptical of Russian foreign policy at best), which might slightly move it up, like how Estonia legalized it a few months ago.

This government will not do that. Beyond that, Italian politics has such a recent history of wild swings that it's hard to speculate (even though I am heavily betting on 2027 - if we even get to 2027 - delivering a different majority).

Italy should happen the next time the PD and their allies are in power, so likely this decade. Poland is much harder to say as I don't think the PO winning control necessarily would mean changes.

I believe Meloni will win re-election in 2027 so probably 2030s for both.

Confident that both, plus several others, will do so in the next 15-20 years.

Sometime in the 2030s(Italy probably before Poland). Japan might legalize SSM that decade too.

Poland will probably legalize it once PiS comes back and loses power to the opposition again, in the next decade or so. Italy will once the center-left gets into office again. But places like Japan, the Czech Republic, Venezuela and Cyprus will likely do it before either.

I thought Maduro was going in a socially conservative direction?

He did openly back it in 2020, but to be fair there hasn’t been any action since.

Italy: When Democrat Party's coalition win again.
Poland: When  Civic Platform and New Left united get a majority of the parliament seats.
