I personally find it a bit odd that Biden's team has not announced money raised for April yet. Wondering if it topped Trump's $76M haul at this point. I would think so, but them being quiet seems odd.

$60M. The fact he hasn't released it yet likely betrays a lack of confidence.

I feel like that if they raised more money than Donnie they would have stated already
So it seem like the Biden campaign is being silent on the money raised because they know it would humiliate them if they reveal they have less money than Trump

Yeah, its either one of these imo-
1) they didn't raise as much, so they're hoping to bury it in the news cycle
b) they did raise more, so they're waiting for a specific day to get a positive news cycle

Because I thought the same thing a few months ago for one of them where they waited, and then they actually raised more than I thought. But given it's nearly May 20th, it's pretty weird they haven't said anything.

Biden + DNC raised $90M in March and $26M of the haul was from his big fundraiser with Obama & Clinton. So without that fundraiser he would've raised roughly $60M in March. But $43M of Trump's $76M April haul was from his huge one day fundraiser where he maxed out a lot of donors. Both campaigns are relying a lot on big flashy fundraisers to juice their numbers.

Is it possible that Biden also maxed out some of his donors at that NYC fundraiser?

I don't think so; Biden's fundraiser was much more grassroots than Trumps

That Biden fundraiser was basically a concert with a couple thousand attendees. Trump's was a more traditional fundraiser with more than hundred top GOP donors giving the maximum amount.

And he was outraised by Trump for the first time. Seems... less than ideal.

51 million is weak for an incumbent

That's even worse than I expected. It's not trending the right way.

I'm finally on the replacement train...

My pride isn't worth standing by Biden anymore.

I read this article that talked about how many Jewish GOP donors were incredibly uncomfortable with Trump after Jan 6 and had no plans on backing him ever again. However, after 10/7 and especially recently they are fully on the Trump train once more as they feel Biden is horrible on the policy. Maybe this is why there is a surge for Trump in terms of fundraising now.

Biden is trying to lose. If he wanted to win, he wouldn't have signed the TikTok ban into law. As if he hasn't alienated young voters enough already!

He must be replaced at the convention.

I wouldn't worry.

Trump will be spending what he raises in bribing republican aligned outlets such as NY Times and CBS in fabricating polling data.

Biden is going to landslide.

Why would Trump fabricate such favorable polling when all it might accomplish is to make his own base complacent?

Because of one month's fundraising haul?  Dang you're fickle.

Repeating this doesn't make it so.  What a foolish argument.  You're not even being hyperbolic, is the thing - you literally believe this.  Is there anything redeeming about you a poster? (Narrator:  No.)

No, it's not that. It's also the ICC Netanyahu comments and a lack of really anything fortunate happening for him and his chances.

If Trump is acquitted, or a conviction doesn't change much in Biden's favor, I'll be more convinced.

Have you seen his username?

Anywho yeah this is not a good haul but thankfully biden still has the cash advantage and seems to be putting the money to much better use than Trump

What I don't quite understand is why Biden would suddenly be raising so much less than he did in March. Obviously the numbers speak for themselves, but still. Maybe his ban of TikTok was the tippipng point.

He's roughly in line with where Obama was, so actually not catastrophic for an incumbent. Hard to do a solid comparison for Trump four years ago with COVID wreaking havoc with fundraising that year.

Quote
President Obama and Democrats raised a combined $43.6 million in April with sustained financial support from veteran donors while enlisting thousands of new ones, the Obama campaign announced on Twitter.

The monthly haul does not eclipse the president's best fundraising month of the 2012 campaign - $53 million raised in March.
