The late legend was a pessimistic lefty who attack social institutions that he felt kept the human species in a dumber place. After the lose of George McGovern Carlin never cast a vote again in his life.

How do you think fans of George Carlin vote in 2024? I wager the fanbase is mainly male and that would nominally skew it Republican but it's to see many hardcore Republicans being adamant fans. Far too many Christians for a man who was one of the most outspoken atheists on the world stage.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Disproportionately non-voters in a "stereotypical Gen X apathy" kind of way, I'd imagine. Probably warmer towards Trump than towards Generic R, even though Carlin himself absolutely would not have been.

I'd like to wager a good portion of Carlin fans turn out for Bernie Sanders 2016/2020 campaigns or voted third party. There have been liberals reclaiming him but the same goes for right-leaning people who think he would be on their side against cancel culture, as with other comedians.

How Bill Maher does: super into Obama, but apathetic otherwise.
