Remember the Fetterman-Oz debate and how Fetterman did horribly and he has no chance?
No one watches senate debates. Only the most politically engaged voters watch that (i.e. least likely to swap votes). POTUS debates have massive viewership.

Wow. Based on how people in this thread are reacting, maybe my hoped-for scenario that Biden s—ts the bed so bad he actually is replaced at the convention might actually happen.
The two people on our ticket are perceived as a doddering old dementia patient and a talentless diversity hire. Dem leadership needs to be purged for coalescing around Biden and making him pick Harris

There is always room for racism on Atlas.

It’s not racist.  You may not want to admit it, but that’s basically what she is and everyone knows it.  Not saying she’s completely incompetent, but she was very much a glorified diversity hire.

She has far more elective experience than Trump. Trump is only where he is at because of White, family privilege.

DA, Attorney General, Senator. That is experience.

I'm not watching, but judging by the reactions, we finally know why the Biden campaign wanted this to happen in June?

trump degrades the black community by telling them they understand him (and like him) because he is now a Convicted Felon.
That is disgusting and racist to say.

There's another one in September so I don't think that's it.

I wish Trump had just won last time if he was gonna win two terms anyway. That way I wouldn’t have had to deal with it as long, we’d be coming up on the end of his presidency and he might not have gone full fascist like he did after losing. Also likely wouldn’t have gotten to appoint any more SCOTUS justices.

Given the anti incumbency trend in the West right now , the gop would be screwed. It’s also very possible pence could have been the nominee and he’d be completely unelectable

You realize that's exactly why Alben is saying that, right?

For the sake of the "please, someone else!" polling numbers, RFK Jr. should actually feel very fortunate he didn't make it to this.

He should be happy it didn’t make it to this so nobody heard his voice

I'll still disagree there. The 2022 midterms went well enough.

Not sure what the problem is, but Biden is way way off.  Trump is actually controlling himself reasonably well.

They’re basically the same age.

But they don’t talk, look, or act the same age.

Trump is controlling himself because he knows his mic is off. Trying to interrupt would be pointless.

Biden is doing poorly (albeit he has improved a bit in the second half) but Trump is not coming off well at all either for very different reasons. He is a blatant liar and a bully.

I cannot with Atlas really hating Biden lmao

If anything, democrats hating their own candidate so much would push me towards Trump waaaay more than Biden being a 81 year old man acting like a 81 year old man in a debate.

I actually think this will help vindicate Hillary. Sure she lost to Trump, but she put up a good fight after he steamrolled over a bunch of Republican wunderkinds and hyped up big money candidates, and now Trump is going to also steamroll the one man who ever barely beat him. Hillary’s performance won’t seem so bad in hindsight. Trump will be Grover Cleveland, Hillary James G. Blaine, and Biden Benjamin Harrison.

Imagine actually believing anything could vindicate the massive dumpster fire of an incompetent sh!tshow that was Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign Roll Eyes  At least Biden has actually beat Trump before.
