Personally, I do not. I mean, it's not like the first thing I ask someone new is their political views, but I'm pretty sure none of my close friends are swinging from Biden to Trump this election.

My dad has potential to be one, but I'm not certain yet. He is a serial late decider.

Otherwise, no. Everyone I know supports Biden to varying degrees of enrhusiasm, and are utterly terrified of Trump winning again.

Yes though I would not say they are locked in yet. Trump is more than capable of causing them not to actually vote for him

No, but I know a couple Trump-Biden voters due to election denialism and January 6. However, most Republicans I have known over the years haven't voted Republican for president since 2012.

No; I'm just too young. In 2020 I was 15 so me nor most of the people I knew could vote.

If I were a voter I would’ve been a Bernie/Jill Stein 2016 voter - Trump 2020 voter - Biden 2024 voter

No. Knew a lot of people who shifted from Never Trumpers who didn't vote or voted for Johnson but then voted for Biden in 2020. Have several people in my family this time who voted for Trump but are definitely not this time, at least third party if not voting for Biden.

Just curious, but why are you leaning towards Biden this time around?

Despite some major disagreements, he’s closer to what I stand for and he has been surprisingly much better than what I had ever expected.

Easier to be Anti-Trump when you cannot be disappointed with the alternative from democrats and the points I dislike the most about Biden are all things I already expected to be worse, so there’s the effect of being positively surprised.

Not that either Biden or Trump are even close to representing what I believe. But stuff like positioning on Israel is something I am not really that outraged or motivated about even if I 100% agree with the protesters on a moral level.

Economically, Trump has some better ideas regarding the US, so if I was an US citizen mayyybe I would lean more towards him but TBH, Biden has incorporated some of those Trumpist nationalist trends in his government as well and since I am not an US citizen, easier for me to pay more concern about Global Stability / Democratic Rule / Minimal Moral Decency than to stuff that doesn’t affect me like the US Economy.

Trump will unfortunately win though, as in the very particular case of USA, somehow everybody I am against ends up winning the election.

None of them have came to the ballots yet, as November has not arrived yet. The simple answer is a affirm no.

My father is shaky. He has decided "it might be better for the country if Trump won"  but voting for him is a bridge too far. He has voted Democratic since 1988.

I would say the biggest shift in my circle which admittedly skews rightwing is Biden's loss of support, especially among those who "lent him" their voted in 2020.

Biden has offered them 0. Nada. He has simultaneously run the most partisan administration in American history when it comes to appointments/governance, while also running the most leftwing.

Almost every Republican and Conservative I know(and I am not counting people who agree with MSNBC on everything- ie pro-choice, Ukraine flags, pro trans) but are currently active politically, despises Biden and this administration.  They don't dislike it. They aren't disappointed. They despise it.

Now for those who felt Trump was unfit and January 6th along with the two months preceding it were a traumatic experience this presents a quandary. But at the moment this group, which lent Biden their votes in 2020 and in some cases voted Democatic 2022 is leaning towards Trump. And for most it's Trump or a write-in. They will never vote for Biden again.

That said I would say Tech/DC center-right/NE center-right finance has gone from

25% Third-party 30% Clinton 45% Trump in 2016
50% Biden 5% write-in 45% Trump on 2020
60% Biden  10% write-in 30% Trump Feb 2021
40% Biden 20% write-in 40% Trump December 2022
15% Biden 30 % thirdparty/write-in 55% Trump 2024

So the biggest shift has been the collapse in Biden's support. Trump is still viewed as an evil,  but the change is that he is now viewed as the lesser evil. And as most of the current third-party/write-in voters are either OK with Trump defeating Biden or would prefer it, it's unclear whether the planned Biden campaign anti-Trump messaging will do much.

They are refusing to vote for Trump on principle post Jan 6th but don't mind him winning anyway

No. And I don't know any Trump--Biden voters either. Everyone is either voting for the same person again, or not voting at all.

I don't think so, although I know a handful of Clinton 2016 - Trump 2020 voters.
