Pretty much this. I can see an argument for giving GMac a lighter sentence, much as we butt heads he can make good points sometimes. I don't, however, agree with that argument. Remember he just got off a one month ban from back in October for similar dehumanizing remarks.

Vosem isn't going to change. He deserved his ban but don't expect to see an iota of difference if/when he returns.

The other two are deplorable, jaichind should've been been kicked out for good.

This is a fair point if this was an isolated incident, but this was his fourth or so moderator action. Mods take that into account when determining punishment length, particularly since repeated infractions indicate a lack of ability to course correct. I don't really know because I, like everyone else, only ever saw and retained a small % of their posts, especially the stuff that got removed, but the moderator team, compromised of hard-working professionals across the political spectrum, has earned all of our trust on matters like this, so I'll have faith and say Yes/Yes/Yes/Yes.

Yellowhammer has contributed to my entertainment. Jaichind has contributed to my understanding of the politics of various Asian countries. Vosem has contributed to my understanding of various dymanics in congressional GOP primaries. GMac has contributed to my understanding of what Seattle techbros are like.

I didn’t say he shouldn’t have been banned lol . I was just pointing out him being a neo confederate made him more entertaining than he otherwise would have been given his views .

He should have been banned mainly for the comment he made about women and some of the other stuff he said
