It's quite interesting that Franzl is struggling so much. Could his recent absence have hurt him?

Yeah. He never really reached out to me and i haven't been around long enough to know his politics. I wasn't going to preference him highly just based off of PM and party ID. So I think if he'd been around more he could've reached out to more people.

Rowan is getting into the Senate and to my knowledge he has never really reached out to any non-RPPers and Franzl has dozens of great accomplishments under his belt.  Ahh the irony, the increased activity is tearing down those who helped to in my mind make this game great again which resulted int the increased activity.

I will be extremely disappointed if Franzl is defeated over this. Perhaps in the future more established figures will have to work with the newbies, so they know who's who around here.

Honestly, I don't think most of the newer players know much about him due to that long absence.

Shocker, now Franzl gets votes!

Funny how that works.

Well, it was also our fault for not endorsing Franzl for #4.

My vote included only posters who I have either not deemed as idiots or annoyances (and honestly, one of them comes very close to being the former - you should know who you are).

Okay, by my calculations here is what we have currently (I used page 74 as my starting point):

Total voters 56, quota 11, last vote Antonio V:

RowanBrandon: 16
Fritz: 11
Marokai Blue: 10
Afleitch: 7
Franzl: 6
SPC: 2
Duke: 2
Sewer Socialist: 2

Round II:
RowanBrandon: 11
Fritz: 11
Marokai Blue: 10
Afleitch: 7
Franzl: 6
SPC: 7
Duke: 2
Sewer Socialist: 2

Round III:
RowanBrandon: 11
Fritz: 11
Marokai Blue: 10
Afleitch: 9
Franzl: 7
SPC: 8

This looks to getting very close between Franzl and SPC for the 5th spot.

Why would I vote for Franzl on hear say? I honestly know nothing about his politics, besides green avatar and Obama 08. afletich sent me PMs asking for support etc. and discussed policy with me. So regardless of what some partisans may want, I will preference afleitch higher for the fact that he showed me some of what to expect.

Quota is 10 at that level isn't it?

Though, yes, I agree that the 5th spot is SPC v. Franzl. That could get very close, and there is a possibility that afleitch could get dragged in to it as well if DA friendly voters start flocking to Franzl disproportionately.

How exactly is quota figured?  I thought it was votes/seats (5) and drop the remainder.  Is that not right?

No, I just didn't reach out to you. Wink

But seriously, both the DA and the JCP hate me for whatever reason, so whats the point?

No, that's not right. I think it's total votes divided by six, and then add one to whatever that equals.

And then round down, of course. (So, really, it's total votes divided by six, and then round up. Except in cases where there's nothing to round - a complexity that was actually unnecessary IMHO, and maybe ought to be repealed.)

I find it humorus the accusations people make against the RPP about being a totalitarian smoke and mirror party full of zombies and bent on power.  I think someone should really pay attention to the fact that a few voters in the Pacific have received 6+ PMs freaking out about a race for Lt. Gov.

When Andy Jackson ran for and became Lt. Gov. of the DS, we just welcomed him

Yeah. What about RosettaStoned and phknrocket1k? They do NOTHING around here. I don't care how much they post around the forum. At least the "zombies" have shown interest and tried to get involved rather than just ignore Atlasia until bgwah PMs them.

That's why we need serious reform(and yes, the reform will end up eliminating RPP members too I'm sure).

Yeah, when I was cracking the numbers yesterday I saw this guy and thought "Who the hell is he?", I factored him in just in case something like this happened.  Don't worry, our second seat is not in danger
