Why didn't they poll the Hogan race again?

Alsobrooks seems to be catching up. Whether that's due to Trone's gaffe or not might remain to be seen.

We definitely have a good chance in Maryland thanks to Larry Hogan. He now raised $3.1 million for his Maryland senator bid which is more than Trone who has thus far less than $500,000 in cash on hand. That's why the Democrats are afraid of Hogan's senate bid and spending millions of dollars trying to smear Hogan, especially on abortion. Hogan has already said he doesn't support a national abortion ban, so stop scaring people.

The reason why Democrats keep trying to misrepresent Hogan's position on abortion is they want to obscure their hypocrisy on abortion as David Trone donated to pro-life anti-abortion Republicans, so even if Trone is the nominee, bringing up that issue against Hogan will backfire.

That is why Alsobrooks still has a chance to win nomination as she is trailing David Trone by just 3 in this poll. Another reason why Alsobrooks still can win the nomination is that Trone's company, Total Winery, started paying there employees hazard pay for two weeks until it suddenly stopped.

This company sent all the employees a $25 gift voucher to spend at his stores. This was a slap in the face. But the real burner was he had no problem spending 12 million dollars of his own money to run for congressman. U.S. Representative Trone believes in climate change and all his stores pretty much throw away cardboard and other recyclables.

And also, Hogan can reach among the moderate Dems and the Independents who are worried about this time of economic uncertainty and rising inflation as the MD Dems are trying to to increase sales taxes by $4 billion, which is the largest tax increase in Maryland's history, even in a time of rising inflation caused through Biden's policies. Meanwhile Hogan cut taxes by $4.7 billion, took a $5 billion dollar deficit and turned it into a five billion dollar surplus, abolised 350 fees and cut tolls by half (which is the first time in 50 years tolls were cut), turned Maryland’s economy around and went from 49th out of 50 states to number six, the biggest economic turnaround in America. What Dems forgot is that President JFK cut taxes during his presidency and the economy prospered in the 1960s. This isn't surprising that Trone and Alsobrooks are not Jack Kennedy. This is why Trone voted against the Family and Small Business Taxpayer Protection Act, voted to increase the State and Local Tax (SALT) cap to 20 % for married taxpayers and to boost top marginal income tax rate to 39.6 %.

On national security and crime, Hogan is the candidate in this race with the best record on that issue. In 2021, he vetoed a legislation that would turn Maryland into a sanctuary state for illegal aliens by forcing counties to end their contracts with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). And Hogan advocated a $150 million initiative to fund police in the state. And the Hogan gubernatorial administration fast-tracked and expanded the $10 million Neighborhood Safety Grants program to include places of worship and vulnerable communities, and introduced two pieces of legislation aimed at decreasing crime. He also announced that the state would conduct an audit of the Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office, demanding Mosby produce detailed statistics on how often her office dismisses cases or strikes deals with defendants. As a result, overall violent crime in Maryland decreased 16 % since 2012, the property crime rate decreased 41 % in the 2012-2022 period, agravated assault decreased 11 % and robbery rate decreased by more than 30 %. Unlike Hogan, Trone headed on the wrong side of police policy, crime and national security as Trone wanted law enforcement officers to be trained on “implicit bias” and “non-lethal interventions.” On the issue of immigration, Trone told people to forget the immigration issue and the border crisis. That's why Trone voted against the Laken Riley Act.

So the point is that during his years in Washington, David Trone has been one of 435 votes in the House of Representatives. And very fortunately on the issues of national security and crime, his views rarely prevailed. However, the governorship is an entirely different proposition, a Congressman can be wrong for 6 years without consequence to the state or to the nation. But a Governor always casts the deciding vote. In this time of challenge, of uncertainty and insecurity, Maryland needs a Senator we can count on to get it right and we have that kind of Senator in Larry Hogan.

Why didn't they poll the Hogan race again?

Given that this is an internal, I can only guess they don't like it.

Yup. I think Alsobrooks is trailing for the primary right now by more than that, though I'd still give her a 50/50 chance to clinch the nomination.
