Seems like a pretty cool guy tbh. I don't know the makeup of his district but I hope he wins.

I don't think his father's shadow should define him. I wish him luck.

The seat he’s running for (1st) is heavily Republican where democrats rarely break 30%, so he’s u unlikely to win

I saw this title as "Re: Son of Oathkeepers f..." in the Talk Elections index sidebar and thought that this was a Election What-ifs? timeline called Son of Oathkeepers. Which, to be fair, would be a banging name for an EWI timeline if you completely disregard the obvious association.

Perhaps, though I do wonder if he outruns most Dems especially due to having a kinda left-libertarian platform (he's pro-gun) and could end up running in a more swingy district in the future.

Either way, people should run in every district. I hate uncontested races.

Also, if he does win, MT might have honestly one of the most interesting and kinda cool young D state legislature caucuses. I mean, we have:

-a trans woman who stood pretty defiant after having her ability to vote in the chamber revoked, by setting up shop just outside
-one of the first NB state legislators
-a son of a far-right militia leader who's a left-lib and doesn't care about going on CNN with a leather jacket instead of a suit

and that's just the first 3 that come to mind here, but the younger generations are looking quite interesting here.

Maybe a harbinger of things to come. It'd be funny if Montana ended up becoming like another Vermont long term.

Good for him! He seems like a good dude and I appreciate his Type O Negative patch on his jacket. Rooting for him!

His voice sounds so much like his dad's, which is weird.

Do you know anything about this guys story? You're gross. Literally escaped a well-known abusive father and protected his mother and younger siblings while doing so, enduring the abuse for years just to not leave them alone. This is absolutely not a case of 'grifter scum' but you continue to display the 'scummy behavior' that is the modern day GOP.
