I know nothing about Schuyler Colfax and I voted for him based on his name being the coolest but I'm reading about him now and he seems pretty cool.

Oddly enough, Dan Quayle.  He was smarter than he got credit for, and his views on the importance of the nuclear family and the two-parent marital family were entirely correct.

Marshall ceded his authority to Edith Wilson, but that was a different time and VPs were kept in the dark more than they are now.

I'm guessing I'd prefer Colfax over Marshall simply over civil rights (I'm guessing Marshall was ambivalent about African American rights, please correct me if I'm wrong).
