If Cheney had actually switched parties I would respect her...as it stands it's sort of meh. Her career pre-1/6 and her family name aren't exactly exemplary.

Gabbard: I used to be a strong supporter of hers, but she seems to have sold out to Trumpism. I don't know if she's trying to transform herself into a Hawley/Vance style populist or if it's over DNC-related bitterness, but I will refrain from rating her until I know more about her political transformation.

Assad was/is the best option in Syria, given the situation, and the utterly horrendous choices.  That says more for Syria than Assad.

She could of not supported anyone, it wasn’t an either or situation especially when there were non-problematic rebel groups that were also fighting Assad

The Rebel groups you speak of, most notably the Free Syrian Army, had ZERO chance of prevailing without a MASSIVE infusion of US money and troops, as it would be fighting a two (2) front civil war.  If they had prevailed, would they have had a government any better than what we have in Iraq or what we had in Afghanistan?

We don't have a significant interest in Syria that we have in a number of other Middle Eastern countries.  It has been Russia's Client State for forever.  Assad is an awful world leader, but ISIS is worse and the others had no chance of winning, and people who say otherwise were/are kidding themselves.  Foreign policy is often about cutting losses and picking the best option that is the most likely.
