Imagine telling someone a decade ago that Trump would be the Republican nominee for the next 3 election cycles. Donald J. Trump has just won the Washington primary and that should be enough to clinch the nomination. After shocking the world in 2016 in an election like no other, Trump was eventually dethroned narrowly by Biden in 2020. Four years later, he has beaten Nikki Haley with ease only losing 2 contests, Vermont and D.C. in a relatively boring primary. This will be the first rematch in US History since 1956, and the first election between two presidents since 1892.

So fun fact is I actually made this election night stuff all the way back in 2019. But it still somehow is relevant today so I was still able to reuse everything lol.

I just think it's funny that even the most flattering pictures of Trump still look horrible.

Still a bit early to declare. Trump has swept all the CDs in GA and in MS. He is 27 short of the nomination after GA and MS.

With 2/3rds of the vote out, he's clinched at least 10 delegates from the CDs (at least 1 in each), and has clinched another 5 statewide. That's 15 delegates putting him 12 short of the mark.

This will tighten up as WA continues to count.

AP has it at 80% with Trump leading 74.2 vs 21.7

Trump now has clinched the 13 statewide delegates.

He also sweeps all but CD 9 and 7. He's not clinched over 50% in either, leaving 4 delegates out of 43, awarding Trump 39 delegates.

Trump has won the nomination, as of 10:30pm PST.

"Embarrass" is what happens when you make a social faux paux or say something foolish. The verb you're looking for is damn. As in, "The MAGA Party has damned themselves (and possibly America) for the third consecutive time." (Really, more like the fifth, given their votes on impeachment.)
