(Yes this was obvious for a long time, but I am going to do this for the sake of formality like I did in 2020)

With his win in Georgia tonight, Joe Biden has secured enough delegates to win the 2024 Democratic primaries. He is still technically only the presumptive nominee, but its essentially guaranteed he will be officially crowned in Chicago this August.

The start of the primary season was somewhat interesting as Biden had lackluster polling against RFK Jr. who later ran as an Independent. After winning NH via a write-in campaign against Dean Phillips Biden gained momentum in SC before eventually plateauing to around 85% of the primary vote share. He faced a noticeable struggle against uncommitted in MI and MN over concerns of his policy regarding Israel and Gaza. Biden has won every contest so far, except American Samoa where he lost to Jason Palmer.

Joe Biden has won the Dem primaries general election as of today.
There, fixed it for you. This is no longer a presidential race. Dems will own the republicans on the ground and the issues of the day.

So were we all off on the math when we were saying Mississippi would put him over? I was really surprised when people called it when Georgia closed.
