With the gang war in Haiti having recently accelerated with a wave of violence, American and United Nations personnel evacuating personnel and the resignation of Prime Minister Ariel Henry, could this end up being an issue in the general election?

To the extent that hundreds of thousands of Haitians show up for asylum it's a positive for Trump. The actual mess in Haiti isn't a factor in US politics especially with Florida off the swing state list and FL being home of most Haitian Americans.

A positive in that Haitian refugees vote for Trump or that it plays into his anti-immigrant panic.

Haiti is a nightmare with occasional wake-ups into mere awfulness.

I don't think it will have much impact.

Somehow it will be construed as Biden's fault.

This isn't going to have any impact, because—I'll say this as delicately as possible—this doesn't really do anything to change most Americans' perceptions about Haiti.
