Pretty cool ad.

I briefly got my pulse up by just reading "BREAKING: President Biden..." ... I thought he dropped out or something happened to him. Maybe the Breaking should be removed from the title.

Good ad. Another sign that the campaign knows what it's doing.

Going up in battleground states now. Thoughts?

Cringe and out of touch. The young people care more about housing costs.

Wow, he’s really got you rattled the last couple of days. Interesting…
I have always hated Biden and stated I prefer Harris.

Did he kill your cat or something?
Just think about how much you hate Trump. Multiply it by 100 and this is how much I hate Biden.

I hate him at a visceral level. I have never hated other Democrats the way I hate Biden.

Maybe you should see someone for that.

I like the part at the end. It is humanizing lol, who didn't have a bit of a chuckle when he said that.

My point is that this hatred is silly.  Which is why I asked if he killed your cat or something.

And no, you absolutely do not hate Biden 100 times more than I hate Trump.

It’s a good ad that I believe will help him, but he does need to address the inflation issue in some way.

Cost of living and rising wages I'd say. Inflation is already way down, but stuff is more expensive than it was before the pandemic. Biden also needs to challenge Trump on the issue and make clear he won't just push a button and it's 2019 again. Because Trump doesn't seem to have a coherent economic policy to advance middle class and working people. He just wants more tax cuts for those who don't need it.

“cost of living” “inflation” yes, whatever we want to call it most working class families are struggling and not fully feeling a “good economy” the issue does need to be addressed head on. The ad content here is good particularly the age issue.

Even I smiled at the end, but I think this election is going to come down to "everyone says the economy is booming, so why aren't I seeing any of that?" which at least seems to be the vibe online. People will look past Biden's age if they can firmly say they're better off now than they were 4(ish) years ago, but how much of the economic boom is just going to investors who were already wealthy?

Highly agreed, I hope his campaign realizes this.

Stuff like prescription drug costs are part of people's cost of living, so Biden should be demonstrating that he's addressing issues in their daily lives.

The days of any ad being "Powerful" or changing more than a handful minds are over especially at the Presidential level. The ad is fine, it will matter little.

Sure, the ad doesn't exactly put the age concerns to rest-nothing will. Why this ad is encouraging is because it draws a stark contrast between the two candidates. It succeeds at both affirmative means to support Biden, as well as negative reminders of Trump's persona and tenure as President. We got glimpses of this in the State of the Union. This seems like the way to go.

Yeah like Don the Con has actually given me a persuasive reason to vote for him, right? Oh yeah how the ing 20 ing election got stolen and he was defrauded! Boo hoo cry me a river! So he should understand how those poor people he conned and gipped over the decade's! So let me get this straight, if Don the Con tries to con and defraud someone, then it's like "nothing to see here", but if the shoe's on the other foot, oh my good, woe is me, the skies falling in! So I want all you suckers to bail me out & fire crooked Joe! Sorry Don, there's not enough money in Trump Tower you could get me to help your Sorry a*s! So here's the deal I'm voting for Crooked Joe, better a crook, than a tiresome traitor who engages in projection and gaslighting. Hasta la vista you cowardly bum!

I agree that ads rarely matter anymore, but this could be the rare ads that hurts him as he claims a worsening economy is good. Young people, who his ads are targeting, in particular think that the economy is getting worse.

The thing I like about Riverwalk is he makes verifiable claims about the world that may or may not prove to be true based on evidence. I disagree with most of these. Time will tell which of us is right but he's not constantly moving the goalposts.

I am the in house Biden optimist and base much of that optimism on my pretty firm conviction that America will be in a better shape six months from now than it is now and is in a better shape now than it was six months ago and that people will eventually notice this. Riverdale disagrees with me on the fundamental claim and says that the situation is worsening and will continue to worsen. Only one of us can be right. If he turned out to be right about that, Biden would be toast. I don't think he is. Only one way to find out!

It gets incredibly irritating when they keep making the same point for the ten billionth time and even sometimes in threads where it has absolutely no relevance.

Indeed. Everyone knows that if we elect Trump housing costs will just magically go down! And that Trump has such a well reasoned and detailed plan to address this and he's absolutely campaigning on that instead of just raving about how 2020 was stolen and the indictments against him are made up.
I don’t think the President controls that much of the economy. Fundamentals such as interest rates just point to it getting worse the next year or two and Biden will be blamed by voters for it.
