The Chinese banning Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, and others while expecting us to not respond in kind is really a sign of weak-kneed cowardice, though. I'm pretty sure if Beijing agreed to a "all US social media apps allowed in China in return for Tiktok staying afloat in the US" Congress would rapidly agree but it's just embarrassingly weak to not respond to the Chinese doing this to us.
