It's not R politics, it's the users on this Forum that constantly trust polls not votes, we will put in Nov who wins
And it will be Donald J. Trump

Noway Biden loses MI, WI and PA, ask pbower is Biden gonna lose the big three and he will tell you no

I saw on Facebook that Katrina C is beating Cramer 45/43 , I definitely will be donating to her

I think Republicans, especially the Republican voter base tend to be too overconfident in their prospects. I think Republicans, especially Trump supporters need to remember that enthusiasm doesn't make a vote worth more. There is definitely a more energized base on the Trump side, but the GOP has made very little effort to reach out to folks beyond Trump's base since 2020, and has often pushed potential voters away (i.e. Trump saying he doesn't need or want Haley voters).

I think another thing the GOP underestimates is how demographic change in most swing states since 2020 has been pretty bad for them. The GA, AZ or WI of 2024 is demographically 1-2% more favorable to Biden than 2020. This may seem small, but it means the burden is on the GOP to be expanding their base.

I'm no fan of Biden, but yes, the GOP is very harshly underestimating him, to their detriment in my opinion. Trumpian hubris has a way of blinding the GOP about Biden's chances in the upcoming election.

Firstly, Biden is an incumbent.

Secondly, he is not doing that badly in the polls (he is slightly ahead of Trump in many if not most of them).

Thirdly, Biden has presided over a booming economy with record productivity & wage growth, falling inflation (at least in the last 18 months), an international improvement in the US' reputation (the US is much more popular internationally than it was 4 years ago under Trump) and has had some achievements that his own base would definitely praise him for (such as the infrastructure bill, the quick vaccine rollout post-COVID, the swift support for Ukraine amid the Russian invasion, etc.).

Now, a lot of his policies will have long-term consequences, such as using government spending to finance an economic boom will cause some issues with debt and monetary policy later on, but he has a list of perceived or actual achievements he can point to - it's not like a repeat of Trump running against Hillary in 2016 who was seen as a product of the morally corrupt American political system, even though a lot of Republicans seem to think (or want to think) that this election will be that way.

Of course. Bc in their minds, the real Joe Biden is an invalid, and anything we see with our own eyes in public is a stunt double. It has to be true. Truth social told me so.

Most Americans think the economy is getting worse. Interest rates went up a lot, inflation is entirely being blamed on Biden, and unemployment is likely to rise as a result of the higher interest rates by the election. Wage growth was only a record in 2022 due to high inflation.

Average people won't about the elections until after the conventions.
The GOP is attacking Biden as they have been doing since 2020.
They will campsing as normal on the swing states.
