https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-israel-gaza-finish-problem-rcna141905

Quote
“You’ve got to finish the problem,” Trump said on Fox News on Tuesday when asked about the war. “You had a horrible invasion that took place that would have never happened if I was president.”

He refuses to call for a cease fire

Quote
When asked on the program whether he supported a cease-fire in Gaza, Trump demurred

Saying "finish the problem" is very telling. We've heard ad nauseum that Trump is the most anti-war candidate ever but he's not calling for an immediate ceasefire. He is close to Netanyahu so he could ask him to stop the military offensive.

Trump turned on Bibi a while ago.

It's noteworthy, but not surprising, that this doofus has not taken an actual position on Israel-Palestine or Russia-Ukraine for that matter--he just insists that if he was President, those conflicts wouldn't have started. He never explains how he would've prevented them, what he would do to end them, and I don't think his voters care. He says he'll make deals and all that, but we saw how chaotic his approach to foreign policy was during his first term, so why would it be any different now?

The Biden ads write themselves. Thanks for supporting Brandon's reelection bid, Donny.

Kind of a stretch, no? I doubt there is much daylight between Trump and Biden on this.

"Finish the problem" is not language that Biden would ever use. It really gives "final solution" vibes.

Trump wisely stayed out of the GOP debates so that he wouldn't have to answer those kinds of questions. It would've been easier to convince single issue I-P voters to stay with Biden if Trump had given a direct response.

Trump outflanking Biden from the left on foreign policy just like he did with Hillary.

Democrats had better get Biden out of there or Trump might actually win the youth vote.

LOL. (Plenty of other not well aged takes from that thread.)

This is a game to them. The pro-Palestine crowd does not consist of serious people. You can hate Biden all you want, but if you can't acknowledge that a Republican's approach to Israel would be notably different than a Democrat, then you are either a liar or just plain uninformed.

Both candidates suck regarding this issue. Unsurprisingly, Trump is worse. The "Donald the Dove" people were always gaslighting

Trump's opposition to war is not a moral calculation, but a political one. War is unpopular. Why would Trump want to get us into a war when it could cost him support? He doesn't give a sh*t about potential civilian casualties, environmental destruction, and the psychological torture that soldiers would endure, he simply does not want to lose votes. That's the thing that's really pissed me off about the narrative that Trump is anti-war--he's not. He's anti-Trump-losing-support.

Again, this is just the laziest analysis. The two men are VERY different on this issue if you took more than 3 seconds to think about it or look it up. To just say "both are awful" is objectively untrue if we're thinking about facts here.

There's truly nothing lazier than political takes about "yeah both suck." It's hardly ever the case if you're actually paying attention!

Do you understand the meaning of "objectively"? Serious question.

LMAO. Is he serious?
The s**t that comes out of his mouth, and the stupidity of his supporters to believe his every word, is amazing.

The RNC is attacking Biden for sending aid to Gaza.

They think giving aid to starving people is worthy of scorn.

Stop saying Biden and Trump are the same on this issue.

You don't have to love Biden on thjs issue, but he would never say this or act upon it. Making it easier for Trump to win is in the worst interests of all three of Israel, Palestine, and the US.

Surprised he's got a better position than Biden here.

It's silly how many western politicians are clinging to the notion that a terror group with genocidal goals that has been hellbent on killing Jews however they can for the last 20 years will somehow decide to cease fire. Nobody was asking for a pause to fighting in the war with ISIS before it was over...

Isn't it curious that the CEASEFIRE NOW!!! crowd has never harassed a Republican politician?
They target only Democrats.
